Founded in 1989 under the sponsorship of the Council on Aging, RSVP Santa Rosa is backed with 16 years of experience. The Avalon Center took over as sponsor in 1990 and when Baptist Healthcare bought the Avalon Center, they became our sponsor. United Way was our sponsor for one year and Santa Rosa Community Service has sponsored RSVP, RSVP Senior Fun Bunch and Golden Treasures Gift shop since 1996. Through our commitment, experience, and expertise RSVP Santa Rosa has established a great relationship with our volunteers that will last a lifetime!

Our mission is to provide volunteer opportunities for people age 55 and older that address our area's educational, public safety, environmental, disaster relations, and other human needs, to achieve direct and demonstrable results,and to encourage all adults 55 and older to volunteer. In doing so, RSVP will foster civic responsibility while strengthening the ties that bind us together as people.
